silly Brooklyn

Brooklyn likes hats, at least funny hats that she finds and puts on (not the ones mom chooses). On this day she found a diaper and started parading around the house. She had such a big grin, and was so proud of herself that I just started to laugh.

Here she is putting is back on after it fell off.

painting fun

The girls had been begging me to let them paint, and so I finally gave in and pulled out the poter paper, and crayola paint. They had a great time, and my bedroom has two origionals hanging up now.

This first one is Kenzie's paper, she liked the color pink the best, later she switches to blue. It was just fun to see them being creative and having so much fun.
Here is Aby posing by her picture, it was only half way finished, and later she added a pictue of herself and mom. It really did turn out very cute.

Funny picts of Brooklyn

Lately Brooklyn has taken to putting everything and anything into her mouth, I have even teasingly called her my little dog. This was a really warm day, and the kids had been out playing in the back yard with their swim suits on. Brooklyn decided that she wanted to join the fun in another way.

I guess that her hands were needed for other things so of course the mouth is the next best place to carry things.
mmmmm tastes yummy.

Brooklyn watches

These pictures were just too cute to pass up. This is how Brooklyn watches soccer. Please note that she is in my chair, and I am sitting on the grass. (how do kids manage to do that to people.)
Here she is being a cheerleader for Aby (really I know that is what she was doing.)
She is deep in thought about the soccer game.

Final soccer notes

Aby has finished her first year of soccer. It was a year of learning, and laughter (most of the laughter came from me.) She didn't want to play again next year, so we will sit out for a year. Aby and mom both had a really fun time, I enjoyed watching her grow, and coaching the few times that I did. Her real coach did a wonderful job, and she loved him. I am greatful for his patience and his wanting all of his players to succeed. Aby really did improve through the year, she learned to dribble, and actually defend and kick the ball away from the other people. She also was able to score 2 goals one time.
Here is Aby in a throw in she did a great job and learned to aim at the right team.
I put this picture in just so that you would know that Aby really did play with other teams and other players on the field.
At the end of each season the players are each given a medal for doing such a great job, Aby is so proud of her medal that she still shows it to people who come over to visit. (mom is trying to find a safe home for it before it gets lost.)
The whole team, they did a great job. We won some games, and lost some games, but everyone had a great time.

Dinosaur Tracks

While we were in St. George we spent some time at the Dinosaur Tracks Museum. It was really cool actually, it is a one of a kind museum were you can see what different dinosaur tracks and skin impressions. We decided to go because Aby had been studying dinosaurs in school, and was really intrested in them. She was so excited to see the museum, right until she realized that she wasn't going to see any dinosaur bones, this really made her mad. The best part was right after we walked into the museum Aby had charmed the older gentleman who was at the registar and he gave both her and Kenzie a small dinosaur frame, it saved us some money later on(we didn't have to buy anything from the gift shop.
Here you can see everyone in front of one of the inmprints of the dinosaur tracks. (the girls are happy because this is before they realized there were no bones.)
Another track.
This was right after Aby found out there were only tracks and no bones, can you see the joy on her face.
The museum did have a coloring hands on area where the kids could trace dinosaurs and color some pictures. This made up for the lack of bones in the museum. All in all we had a great trip.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan's

We were invited to go and visit with Ryan's granparents and aunt and uncle in St. George the second weekend in May. This is what Josh wanted to do with the family before he left on his mission. We packed up the van and took off for St. George. We definately got the better end of the deal, because it was rainy at our house, and 70 degrees and sunny there. The kids had a great time. We enjoyed the time we had and spent way too much money on food storage needs (thanks Shane and Rachelle) I also spent some time at the outlet mall, (that didn't help the budget at all.)
Here is Aby playing outside in the fun playhouse at Shane and Rachelle's house check out the cute sunglasses I got at the mall.
They match the sunglasses that I got for Kenzie.

Brooklyn just enjoyed being able to walk around on the cement and play with the rocks, and the dirt that she could find.
Here is Aby playing with Josh's friend and Ali on the double scooter that thier cousins had made.
AHhhhhhh Ryan was in heaven, he could play games all day with people who really enjoy doing that kind of stuff. (he doesn't get that at home with me) He had a great time, and thanks to everyone who played with him time and time again.
Grandpas and Brooklyn spent some time bonding together. He is the only one that she would let hold her for extended times when I wasn't in the room.
